RARE MID-CENTURY ART GLASS HAND-BLOWN HISTORIC MASTERPIECE! Up for sale is an exquisite, vintage Silverbrook Art Glass Works No. This isn’t just a functional wine carafe – it is a genuine piece of Mid-Century American art glass history with an incredible European heritage. The Story Behind the Glass:The Silverbrook Art Glass Works factory (Flanders, Long Island, NY) was founded by the famous Kreutz brothers (Joseph, Henry, Frank, and John), who were 5th-generation master glassblowers from Czechoslovakia. Fleeing the Nazi occupation in the late 1930s, they brought their centuries-old Bohemian glassmaking secrets to the United States. 600S decanter was individually hand-blown by these master craftsmen. Because they rejected mass-production machine methods, no two pieces are exactly identical, making your decanter truly one-of-a-kind. The Ultimate Aerator: Today, this iconic shape provides a massive surface area, making it the perfect functional aerator to release the full bouquet and flavor of your favorite red wines.
