This is a superb mid-century Italian glass genie bottle decanter in a stunning amber yellow glass, with a design which has become known among collectors as Flowers and Butterfly. From Empoli in Italy, this is a large mid-century decorative bottle decanter. The base of the bottle clearly has the words Made in Italy moulded into the bottom. It will make a fantastic decorative piece and looks especially good with sunlight refracting through it. These can add additional dimensions of height and colour to many mid-century collections, looking wonderful amidst a collection of West German Pottery and to display on Scandinavian style teak furniture. It would make a lovely gift for any Italian glass lover and could be just the prop you need for your photo shoot or theatrical production. In VERY GOOD vintage condition, with a couple of points to note. There are some tiny nibbles around the inside of the neck. There are some marks on the inside near the base, they look like chips but they cannot be felt from the outside, so perhaps its just something remaining from the manufacture process.
