Bienvenue à UpStaged Vintage. This is a stunning mid-century Italian glass genie bottle decanter in this glorious and rare mid blue glass. I’m not entirely sure if gentian is an official name for this colour, but it sounds good to me. It has a wonderful large bubble texture and its original stopper, including the plastic bung. From Empoli in Italy, this is a large mid-century decorative bottle decanter from Empoli in Italy. There are no labels and if it says made in Italy on the base it is very feint, but this is a classic Empoli shape and texture. It will make a fantastic decorative piece and looks fabulous displayed close to a window where it can catch the light. These add additional dimensions of height and colour to many mid-century collections, looking wonderful amidst a collection of West German Pottery and to display on Scandinavian style teak furniture. It would make a lovely gift for any Italian glass lover and could be just the prop you need for your photo shoot or theatrical production. In EXCELLENT vintage condition, no cracks or chips that I can see. The plastic bung has a split in it but that is quite common and it still holds the stopper securely in the neck of the bottle. It might just want a better clean inside. Please see all photos and remember it is pre-owned, pre-loved and around 50 years old. Bottle: 13¼ in / 34 cm tall (not including the stopper) with a max diameter of 6 in /15 cm. Stopper is 7 in / 18 cm tall with 2 in / 5 cm max diameter.
