Presenting a wonderful vintage viking decanter, designed by Ole Winther in 1955 and produced by the quality Danish glass producers, Holmegaard. This exquisite decanter has been crafted in the most stunning rich and radiant cobalt blue coloured glass. The intensity of the blue is literally breath taking and looks sensation with light passing through the stylishly shaped form. This fabulous Holmegaard viking decanter is so named because of the impressed viking face which features within a lozenge of glass appearing on the body of the decanter. This beautifully shaped decanter has a bell bottomed shaped base, with tall slender neck, and a thick and chunky rim to the top, which is indented to form a pouring lip. The chunky rim glistens with a stunning metallic iridescence. This superb decanter is presented in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. This impressive Holmegaard decanter stands approx 225mms tall and approx 120mms in diameter at its widest.
