Vintage Blue and White Swirl MCM Art Glass Decanter with Stopper Ex. Colors: Blue and White Swirl Glass Similar to a more opaque milk glass. Width: 8 Inches at the bottom, 2 Inches at the top / mouth. Weight: 2.5 Lbs. Likely Era: Mid Century, 1960’s. Likely Country of Origin: LIkely Italy? PLEASE NOTE Stopper is the only stopper I’ve ever know this item to have. The bottom of the stopper is the same blue color in the glass however looks like a mint green due to the fact the bottom of the stopper was not smoothed off and/or polished. No chips, cracks or nicks. 1 Small Flea Bite where the glass was originally blown. Vintage indicators: Very Light scratches on the bottom of the item. This is typical of an item that has been slid on and off shelves for dusting/cleaning over many years. These scratches have no depth to them and are in line with the sliding of the item around. These items have been in my personal collection for 25+ Years. Most items were found in the mid to late 1990’s and at a time when many Estate Sales and Antique Stores were clearing Vintage Mid Century Modern Estates from the 1950’s and 1960’s. Many Items are Signed or have stickers. Mid Century Art Glass was often not signed; however the educated Vintage Mid Century Art Glass collectors can tell a vintage item from anything new. Murano Italy is where many Art Glass items originated from the Mid century Era. Description will state whether signed or not.
