Rare form mid-century amethyst hobnail pedestal genie bottle featuring a dramatic rounded orb midsection and flame-style stopper. Standing approximately 21.5 inches tall, this architectural glass piece commands attention from every angle. Produced in richly colored purple glass with full hobnail texture throughout, this example showcases a more unusual double-form silhouette rarely seen compared to standard genie bottles. Likely originating from Italian Empoli glasshouses during the 1960s-1970s, this piece was originally designed as a decorative decanter and is now prized as sculptural MCM art glass. I’ve only been able to find one other decanter like this that does have the made in italy sticker. I can not attribute it to Empoli nor Murano because it could be either one. Very well made pictures do not do this art glass justice. 16.5 in by 7 in no chips or cracks, expect some light age related wear as this is a mid Century piece.

Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a lovely opalescent Art Glass pedestal cruet. This beautiful glass cruet has the appearance of “Foval” art glass made by the H. Fry Glass Company of Rochester, PA in the first quarter of the 20th Century. The cruet features gorgeous translucent pearl opalescent coloration in the body with Delft Blue applied glass handleand on the ring at top of pedestal base as well as on the top portion of stopper. Most likely this lovely cruet was made in Murano, Italy in the 1960’s-70’s with the stamp added later. The cruet is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The stopper has a small nick on the side edge, no other noted flaws. M easures 9″ high (with stopper inserted) and has a 3″ base diameter.
