This modernist decanter #5914 is a showstopper; an incredibly gorgeous example of the work of master designer Wayne Husted, for Blenko, circa 1959. The sleek mid century form is of colossal height, impressive clarity and luminous depth of color. All elements are in pristine original form & condition; no flakes, imperfections, cracks, nicks or other flaws. The stopper is ground around its base, as is the neck interior. From a long held private collection of art glass, this is a scarce survivor in mint condition and is absolutely fresh to market, following decades of private holding. I have not encountered another in this Nile color-nor any other in such fine original condition. This is a fine and architectural specimen of mid century American Modernist art glass.
