VINTAGE BLENKO MID-CENTURY MODERN DEEP MOLDED AND TEXTURED TANGERINE DECANTER WITH PLAIN MATCHING BALL STOPPER (#6819 PATTERN) DIMENSIONS: 13 1/4″ high x 4 1/4″ overall width Designed by Joel Philip Myers, circa 1968. Joel Myers was hired in 1963 as the Director of Design at the Blenko Glass Company located in Milton, West Virginia and remained there until 1970. Examples are illustrated in: Blenko: Cool 50s & 60s Glass by Leslie Piña, pp 45 and 78. CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. Original paper label “BLENKO Handcraft” remains affixed to center of body of decanter. Minor staining to the interior bottom of decanter. PROVENANCE: Mood Indigo, New York, NY.
