Vintage Jim Bean I Dream Of Jeannie Bottle Smokey Green Glass Decanter 1964. This I Dream Of Jeannie Bottle is in very good condition with no noticeable chips, cracks or repairs. The original stopper is intact and has not shredded or does not have missing pieces of cork. Jim Bean produced these vintage decorative bottles especially during the 1960’s and 1970’s to appeal to collectors. This particular bottle was designed to resemble the iconic bottle from the hit TV show “I Dream Of Jeannie” which was produced during the 60’s and 70’s era. The bottle is not marked Jim Bean as this item came in a decorative box which was marked Jim Bean. The base of the bottle is marked D-334 119 64 3. With the cork in place the bottle stands approximately 13 in height. Without the cork the bottle stands approximately 11 in height.

Beautiful smoked glass finish. The only imperfection to note is the stopper: the original cork wore off, but Ive used a rubber band to hold it in place. I’ve had it for many years because I was a huge fan of “I Dream of Jeannie” and I learned that. The show’s first director, Gene Nelson, was searching for just the right type of bottle to serve as home for Jeannie when he walked by a liquor store and saw this Jim Beam whiskey decanter in the window (not this exact one, otherwise it would be worth much more). This bottle is so special because it is designed with smoked green crystal. So, you hear the distinctive crystal sound when you rub the top or tap on the sides of the bottle, and that makes it extra special as a genie bottle. I’ve always wanted a rounded room like Jeannie had in the bottle just because it always looked so cozy and. You can see the craftsmanship in this bottle. From the way the stopper was designed with intricate detail to the way the cork on the stopper is shaped to fit inside the bottle. You will notice at the top that there is a production flaw (yes, I point out everything) that is common with this piece. But this bottle and stopper are not common at all. In fact, you will notice the markings on the bottom that prove its authenticity, and there is a number 4 at the very bottom of it under 119 64. Jim Beam did not make millions of these bottles and they had a level of craftsmanship in their whiskey bottles that simply does not exist today. I have taken pictures at all angles so that you can see the bottle decanter and topper from different angles and know exactly what you are getting in terms of the condition of this fine antique that is 55 years old! This has been displayed in my library for many years, and every time I look at it, it reminds me of the “I Dream of Jeannie” show I used to enjoy watching with my family back when there were only a few channels on TV. The 1960’s Advertising Age was a golden era that was depicted with impressive accuracy in “Mad Men”. And the advertising on this bottle was in the same bold, manly style as the copy that was written in its 1964 print advertisement for Beam’s Choice 3rd picture in this listing (print AD not included). Of course, the guys who know great Bourbon aren’t going to be impressed by fancy. Even when they are made of fine, smoked crystal, like ours. Because when it comes to holiday giving, the real Bourbon drinker likes to give the whiskey he respects most. And, we think we’d pick Beam’s Choice even if it came in the same old bottle we use all year round. Then why did we fuss with crystal decanters and big, beautiful packaging? Especially when we don’t charge any more for it? You will receive the actual 1964 Jim Beam decanter bottle and stopper pictured in this listing. In the Sixties, Jim Beam would package its high-quality liquor in fancy collectors. The prior year, the Kentucky distillery bundled its liquor in Delft Blue pottery. The interesting irony is the fact that this bottle became most associated with “I Dream of Jeannie”. The director wanted a very. Unique vessel and the crystal smoked glass inspired him to make Jeannie’s entry and exit into the bottle go up in smoke making the bottle one of the most recognized and coolest props ever. I want this bottle to go to someone who will really enjoy it.
