This listing is for a heavy excellent quality silver collared cut glass decanter. The hallmark is for Israel Freeman, London 1976. It has three rings up the neck, one of which is cut with the diamond pattern reflected in the lower body of the decanter which has diamond cutting and hobnail with a star cut base. The stopper is round with star cutting on the top and virticle cuts all around the edge. A really great handful of glass! There is no damage, staining or chips. This listing is for a stunningly large solid oak tantalus has a brass handle and decorative plates on top edge. It does not open, it is just a impressive display case. Each decanter, which could be filled with a different spirit, can easily be removed from the oak tantalus… The decanters are excellent quality, with no damage internally and externally…… Adds to their interest…. The stoppers are eye catching scene stealers, with a splash of sterling silver all hallmarked. Decanter l: first in the photos has diamond cutting bottom half with hobnail cutting for the top half, even has line square cuts on the shoulders. The silver collar is marked P & W for PREECE AND WILLISCOMBE, London with m for 1967. Decanter 2: second in the photos is square cut with optic thumbprints or circles within each on the body also on the stopper. Also impressively heavy to handle. The silver collar is marked IF & SON LTD for ISRAEL FREEMAN & SON with C for 1977, London. Decanter 3: third in the photos is also square cut with a round cut stopper cut corners. The pattern is diamond with cross (reminds me of cross and hollow of Brierley Hill ilk) with half a star cut on the top half of the body. The silver mark is worn but shows? SG & Co in a shield which I was able to track down for Charles S Green & Co Birmingham with a g for 1981. The three superb decanters make a great display for the Board Room, grand hall or whichever situation you would love to put them in!
