Beautiful vintage hand-blown art glass decanter by Bischoff Glass (USA). This elegant piece features a warm amber/honey tone with a clear, elongated teardrop stopper and applied handle, giving it a striking mid-century modern look. Marking: Original “Hand Crafted by Bischoff” label on base. Color: Amber with clear stopper. Style: Ewer / decanter. 21-22 inches (see photos with tape measure). No obvious cracks or major chips observed. The stopper appears original and fits well. There is some interior haze/residue from age and use (see photos), which is common with vintage glass. Could likely be improved with proper cleaning if desired. A beautiful display piece-perfect for mid-century décor, barware collection, or art glass enthusiasts. Vintage Bischoff MCM Amber Controlled Bubble Glass Decanter 12.5″ Tall – 14″ with stopper. Pre-owned – No chips or cracks. The top rim is clean. The stopper is not the original stopper, but I thought this one would go well with it. Vintage Mid-Century BISCHOFF Art Glass Honey Gold/Amber Controlled Bubbles Decanter #375. Hailing from the Blenko/Eames Era, This Decanter is Strikingly Similar to Decanter #920 Designed by Winslow Anderson for Blenko Glass in the Late 1940’s. Bischoff Glass Company was located in Culloden, West Virginia (1922 – 1963). It has a pattern of controlled bubbles blown into the glass, which becomes more elogated towards the top of the bottle. It has a rough pontil and a ground neck. I do want to note that inside the neck is ground (unpolished), and this is not scratches or flaws, but a normal part of production on some of these decanters.

Description- 8/18/12/11/ book # 645. Probably design by Wayne Husted. A prominent designer who created many of Bischoff’s most iconic mid-century pieces in the early 1960s after leaving Benko Glass. This decanter is one of their more unusual shapes. It is like a space age genie bottle featuring stacked orbs as the stem and on the flame stopper. This elegant hand-blown glass Decanter is 17.25″ tall to the top of the stopper and 12″ to the rim x 5 across the body. Unpacked weighs 3.25 pounds. Large beaded stem and stopper. Nice vintage used condition- There is a repaired chip on the bottom edge on the base- see last picture. Wrought on the bottom of the hand ground stopper.
