An incredibly eye-catching, much-coveted and increasingly rare vintage 1980s art glass decanter hand-blown by Mexican artisans. It has a deeply ribbed, curved rectangular body of controlled bubble glass ingeniously paired with a brilliant, oversized, spherical mercury glass stopper. Simply a phenomenal display piece for a bar cart, shelf or table. It’s 8 inches tall including stopper, and weighs 1 pound 14 ounces. Capacity is deceivingly good at 38 oz. In good vintage condition. The glass has no chips, fleabites, cracks or cloudiness–body or stopper. Silvering on the stopper remains wholly intact, and that’s becoming harder to find in these pieces. The stopper cork fits lightly in the neck, and has lost a few bits, as shown in the photo. Very beautiful Liqueur decanter and glass set. Photos do not do it justice. Judging from all of the other collections at this sale, I would guess (and just a guess) this is from the 1960’s. It is a beautiful aqua blue, almost jade green. The decanter, as well as the glasses have a very dainty clear glass looping (for lack of a better word) completely surrounding them toward the bottom. This can best be seen in photo #2. They look hand blown, because they are just a little different from one another. The bases & the stopper are also clear glass. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks that I could see. The decanter is about 13-1/2 tall (including the stopper). The little glasses are 4-1/8. They will hold about 3 ounces.
