15 Vintage 1960s Red VW Beetle Whiskey Caddy + 4 Shot Glasses – RL1. This listing is for 1 vintage 1960s era whiskey caddy (with four clear glass shot glasses), made in the form of a red Volkswagen Beetle. All metal construction (even the wheels are pressed steel) with plastic windshield, rear window, head light lenses, etc. Marked AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS MADE IN JAPAN. The roof of the car pivots upward to reveal a half-pint sized molded glass decanter and four shot glasses. The decanter has a tight fitting stopper and chain label made of light alloy that reads SCOTCH. The interior of the car is lined with red flocking. Very Good vintage condition, modestly handled over the years, with good paint, light scratches, but no dents. The only noteworthy damage is in the decanter bottle, which has a hole in one bottom corner. Perhaps this could be repaired? At any rate, VW collectors as well as barware aficionados will appreciate this charming Sixties piece. Dimensions: 15 x 5 5/8 x 5.5. Weight: 3 lb 10 oz.
